The Definition Of Bagner

FINALLY! someone's going to explain Bagner... Got you fam

The latest trend on twitter recently has been the term Bagner but what does it really mean? It reminds us of Pushin P, Nobody really knew what the hell it meant but everyone loved it.

The crypto space loves when new terms are created, Hodl, diamond hand, degen, fren, etc. Its just a fun way for the space to interact with each other by using a new term that normal people or “normies” dont understand.

Its like when you use a slang word around your grandma or grandpa. Most likely they have no clue what it means but its funny that they dont know . Not to mention hearing them use the word is hilarious .

Theres been alot of guesses and variations of Bagner and what it means

But here's what bagner really means… Its just banger spelled wrong 😂. Now similar to Pushin P the term is pretty flexible just make sure when you use the term its a bagner

For example “This new project is about to be a bagner” “The Airdrop is a Bagner”

With all the hype around the term and free mints being the meta right now there have been projects popping up left and right and there's 1 in particular that caught our eye

Bagners NFT

@Bagnersnft has gained 20k followers in 3 days since the account was created. Bagners Nft is for all the Bagners out there who wanna rep the culture. The project will be a free mint with no date announced as of yet but keep an eye out on their twitter to be notified.

1 Bagner=1 Bagner

This project seems like a Bagner and possibly initiate themselves in the Nft/Crypto term hall of fame

Chris Browns Breezyverse Fail

(Facepalms) Another day, another headline celebrity with another ill-advised NFT Project and potential flop. Seriously, will these guys ever learn?

From Logan Paul to Jake Paul, Tekashi 69, Lana Rhoades to Floyd Mayweather, the list of Celebrities that jumped into NFTs only to underperform goes on. And the latest to join the group is Mr. Christopher Brown.

A few days ago, Chris Brown launched an NFT project themed THE BREEZYVERSE. The project, which is available for mint on the Ethereum blockchain via Opensea, consists of 10,000 “Unique” 3D animated NFTs.

Each NFT in the collection featured what was promised to be unique visual and sound effects based on rarity. It also promised exclusive utility, which includes VIP concert tickets, exclusive artist meet and greets, music video wardrobe access, some of brown’s original art on canvas and even video calls with Brown! (We actually think that’s cool if it’s true). And, of course, Chris Brown had the good idea to launch it in conjunction with his new brand album “Breezy.”

But contrary to what Breezy may have had in mind while “working” on the project, the collection is a bust and seems to be headed down the same wormhole many of its predecessors from other celebrities did.

As of now, the collection is over a week old and hasn’t even sold 300 out of 10,000 collectibles yet. For context, Chrisbrown has 114Million followers on Instagram, 32 million on Twitter and over 2 million Youtube subscribers. So, getting a measly 300 purchases on his project is very poor by all standards.

A Twitter user @itsmechase did the math and explained that the almost 300 purchases he got on the project represented 0.000199%  of his combined audience. And that’s not even considering there may be collectors who bought more than one NFYTs from the collection. Yikes! That’s quite pathetic.

Ultimately, this situation drives the narrative that many people see Celebrity projects = low effort cash grabs. Ultimately, most of the followers don’t buy into the promised utilities.

That’s because many celebrities who had flopped projects weren’t in it to create real value projects. Instead, they only saw NFTs as means of raking in more money. So, they dive in with little to no research, put a bunch of images together (sometimes copying other people's works) and launch them. Ultimately, they create a useless project, get the rug, and quietly exit the community.

Of course, notable exceptions like SnoopDogg and Pharrell Williams demonstrate true passion and commitment to NFTs. However, most celebrity NFT projects are ill-advised, and most creators only see them as avenues to make easy money. So, they always end up as flops.

🤣 How About A Laugh?

YugaLabs Tests First Version of the Otherside

Yeah, “Metaverse of Madness” was totally a clickbait; we haven’t heard anything like that. But we hope it gets this publication popular and Marvel Studios notices and like us for it.

So, there’s no Metaverse of Madness (At least not yet). But there’ll soon be a Metaverse full of degenerates by mid-July. That’s because Yuga Labs completed the first test of their Metaverse world, Otherside, yesterday. And yes, it had a lot of positive engagements.

Otherside? What is it about?

Otherside is an NFT/Metaverse gaming project designed by YugaLabs (the same guys that created BAYC and Apecoin). Otherside is intended to be a virtual space where users can turn their NFTs into playable characters and engage in fun gaming activities.

The project has a gaming theme which is slightly comparable to the Oasis in Ready Player One (Have you seen that movie?). However, we’ve not yet gotten to full-fledged VR with all the headsets and full gear. So, for now, you’ll be controlling your character from your PC.

So, what happened during the test?

The test took place at loadtest.otherside.xyz with around 2.5k users running around in a relatively small neutral space. We mean literal neutral. It was an all-white background, and anything that wasn’t monochrome on the screen was a player’s avatar and its emotes.

However, it presented a good experience for the testers as it could be gathered from the numerous positive feedbacks. Most of the testers lauded the fact that the system had no lag or fps issue.

Note that the OthersideMeta official Twitter page had initially announced that the test was meant to stretch the load capacity of the game beyond expectations. So, the trial was originally slated to start with 3k users, which will subsequently increase by 1k users every 3 minutes until it can’t take anymore.  However, given that the test only had 2.5k participants, it's hard to tell if it could be regarded as a success.

Nonetheless, it demonstrated that it would comfortably handle up to 3k users running amok in the virtual world.

What do participators stand to gain?

Nothing much, except that you stand to have fun in a limitless virtual space while it’s still in the beta stages. And if that’s not a good enough reason for you to get excited about the next test, there’s more. There are rumours that YugaLabs plans to reward all those who help in improving the system one way or the other. So, you may just end up scoring yourself an NFT, ape coins or some other props in the process.

When is it happening again?

OthersideMeta announced that they would conduct two tests before officially launching the game on July 16. The first test took place yesterday, and the next will take place on Saturday 9th, August.

We’ll love to participate in it this time around. So, see you on the Otherside!
