Here's What The Biggest Projects Looked Like When They 1st Launched

We've recently found out about this tool called Waybackmachine.com and its amazing. It enables you to see what website looked like years ago. We decided to take a look at what the biggest projects and marketplaces looked like when the 1st launched and here's what we found

Opensea Dashboard Feb 2018

The earliest snapshot of opensea is on February 15th 2018 and this is what it looked like. Imagine being on this webpage back then and not buying something.

The only collections featured were CryptoKities, CryptoCelebrities, CryptoPunks, EtherTulips, Mythereum and Ledger Legends. WILD. Check out the dashboard for yourself here

CryptoPunks

This snapshot was also taken on Feb 15th 2018, The punks floor was only 0.32 Eth (around $300 then). If you have a time machine please reach out and we would be glad to take a trip with you to this gold rush era

BAYC

We cant cover the biggest projects without mentioning BAYC, this snapshot was taken on May 1st 2021 (A couple days after launch). 0.12 Eth on the 1st day on opensea is insane, its weird to think the project that took over the world this year wasn't even a hyped drop.

Bayc floor May 1st 2021

Doodles

The blue-chip Nft project, Doodles seemed to be a quite popular mint given this snapshot was taken the day after mint on Oct 18th 2021 and secondary sales were already at 0.9 eth

We slightly remember this time and boy did we miss out. But take a look at the beautiful doodles you could of scooped up on the floor back then

Honorable mentions

The website did not feel like loading the Cyberkongz info but this snapshot was on March 6th 2021.

GT Racing Team Gearing To Authenticate Car Parts Using NFTS

Trivia time! What’s the best way to tell the authenticity of your vehicle’s parts?

  1. Check Serial the Serial Number and scan the attached QR code

  2. Take a good look at it with your naked eyes

  3. Use NFT certification

  4. Let your mechanic handle all that because you’re too busy buying the dip to care about vehicle parts.

If you picked option A, “right, you are not!” (says, master Yoda)

B…. Meh.

But if you picked C, then we have encouraging words for you.

So, the interesting news is Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR), a Lamborghini-sponsored GT racing team, is planning to expand the functionalities of NFTs to vehicle maintenance. Basically, they intend to “monitor and ensure the quality of their car parts” with NFTs.

How will that work?

The VSR team has partnered with the minting platform Go2NFT to launch a project which they’ll specifically use to certify their racing car parts and other merchandise.

Former racing champion and VSR team representative Vincenzo Sospiri disclosed the information to our friends at Cointelegraph. He mentioned that the team would create race car parts certification NFTs on Go2NFT and blockchain services platform Skey Network.

While explaining the reasoning behind the move, Vincenzo Sospiri disclosed that it’s a great responsibility to ensure the brand “can securely authenticate and audit every part” of its racing fleet and monitor performance. And, of course, the team believes the move will allow fans to have peace when purchasing their branded products. In other words, you don’t have to worry about buying fake merch anymore.

Go2NFT added a bit to the story with the executive Boris Ejysmont stating that their team is aware of the challenges brands face with protecting their intellectual property. They believe NFTs can be a viable solution by creating more trust and transparency between brands and their fans.

What we think

At this point, NFTs are finding their way into every sector, and soon, we may have restaurants creating NFTs for their special recipes. Should be fun! By the way, we chose C because... Well, NFTs are the best… We think.

🤣 How About A Laugh?
