A Beginnerâs NFT Glossary
Raise your hands if you've been with your friends and they're discussing NFT stuff, but you couldn't contribute because you could barely understand all the terminologies they're using. Yeah, we've been there too. Definitely not a good place to be.
We know what itâs like to be new in the space and feel overwhelmed by all these terminologies. Sometimes it feels like watching a French Soap Opera without the subtitles. It seems interesting, but you probably donât understand whatâs going on. So weâve created a quick short guide to help you understand all the common terms you'll come across in the NFT space

Heres What You Missed At Nft Nyc
Should NFT NYC be renamed âSuperbowl of NFTs?
We think it should be. Superbowl has a fun ring to it, right?
Anyway, the event had so many people who all said they had so much fun (Woodstock who?), and of course, we also checked it out and learned a lot (the Good, the Great and the Amazing).
Overall, NFT NYC was, by far, the best thing thatâs happened in the general crypto space all year. And now, we feel kinda bad for the people who missed it.
So, like granny recalling tales from her sweet young days, weâll give the highlights of the events as best as we can. So here are three of the less unimportant things that happened at NFT NYC.
ApeFest Took Over Pier 17
There were apes here, apes there, and apes all over pier 17 Manhattan for four straight days, and not one was bored at any moment of the event.
Day one saw Amy Schumer kick things off with a quick stand-up set. Then, the Applied Primate Engineering team came on stage to unveil a gold fur Mega Mutant Ape NFT (we bet those guys somehow got Midas to touch that ape). But that was not before Questlove and LCD Soundsystem made the apes dance.
By the end of day 4, there had been appearances from Timberland, Lil Baby, Haim, Snoop Dogg, Dave East, Eminem and many more (talk about superstar lineup). In addition, there were auctions, merch sales, and many other treats youâd probably want to learn more about on BAYC Twitter.
Doodles Factory
While the apes were doing, well, ape things at Pier 17( no, they werenât swinging from trees), the Doodles were also having fun at the Palladium theatre. Of course, there was drinking, eating, degens, and⌠Yes, announcements!
Check out our article on the doodles announcement here
But this is a quick recap
Pharrell Williams is now the chief brand officer for Doodles, and he plans to release an NFT-themed album titled âDoodle Record: Volume 1â sometime soon.
Doodles have raised a round of funding led by Alex Ohanianâs VC firm.
And, Doodles 2 is coming very soon.
Cooltopia outdid Zootopia
Okay, we admit, the heading was an attention-bait But, seriously, the cool cats put together one of the best NFT exhibits of the whole NFT NYC conference as they had displays of amazing cool cats NFTs all over. Holders also got to participate in games and win exclusive prizes and merch. They even had a cool cats documentary show (someone said it was quite touching).
If you attended CooltopiaNYC, tell us which was your favorite
Fur is Lava (quite fiery)
Upside down room (Gravity works a little different here)
Garden of light (all sweet and bubbly)
Rock the boat (No, weâre not on the opensea)
NFT NYC had the whole city of new york looking like the biggest gallery in the world with displays of artworks on billboards, graffiti on walls, and statues all around the city.
Summarily, NFT NYC captured and reflected the enormous diversity, variety, and vastness of NFTs. (We learned those big words from the reviews)
